Hi Stampers!
Happy Monday and welcome to my post for Kylie's Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.
You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post today. This is my customer Thank You cards for April. I decided to use as many retiring products as I could on this card. I wanted to ink up a stamp set I had not used yet, and to use paper and dies that are mostly retiring and I am going to miss terribly (especially the layering circle dies). I have trouble saying goodbye, but I have seen the new catty and I can say I won't be sad for long! TONS of new goodies coming!!
For this card, I wanted to use the Textured Chic DSP one more time as it is one of my favorites from the current catalog. I paired the DSP with a Petal Pink card base, and Soft Suede CS mats (all measurements are below). Before adhering the card mat and DSP layers to the card base, I wrapped the Petal Pink ribbon around the mat about 1/2" from the bottom and tied a bow.
For the stamp set, I used the Treasured Kindness stamp set, which I thought was fitting for a customer thank you as I do absolutely treasure both my customers and my team! I used inks that matched the Textured Chic DSP, which worked well for the design; Mint Macaron, Soft Suede and So Saffron. For the trunk and tree leaves I stamped the solid stamps in their respective ink colors, stamped off once then onto a piece of Basic White CS. The detailed stamps I stamped in the same color full strength right on top of the first stamped image. I stamped the "sun" stamp in So Saffron ink stamped off once, right over the trees. Amazing how you can get a two tone look from one ink color just by stamping off! I also stamped the "ground" stamp in Soft Suede full strength. Once the design was stamped, I cut it out with the 4th largest circle from the Layering Circles dies and used the next largest size layering scallop circle and cut out a Petal Pink scalloped circle as a mat. I adhered them together and placed them top center of the card above the ribbon using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I stamped the Thank You sentiment on a scrap of Soft Suede CS in Soft Suede ink and bannered one end. I used a glue dot on the part that was on the focal art, and a dimensional on the banner end to keep it level. I finished the card front off by scattering some Opal Rounds on the card front. Here is what the card looked like:
For the card inside, I used a Basic White panel on another Soft Suede mat and used a scrap of DSP for decoration down the left side. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set in Soft Suede ink, then adhered it into the card inside.
I can now say "goodbye" to all the retiring goodies knowing a gave them a proper farewell use. I hope my customers like them and grab any of the items they might want before they are gone!
